Nothing I can do or give to Beth can replace the countless hours she spent helping me, and I give her all the credit for the college acceptances I received. With her help, I was accepted into The University of North Carolina, University of Notre Dame, Vanderbilt University, University of Virginia, Villanova University, University of Maryland, and Clemson University. I am so excited to start this fall at my dream school, The University of Notre Dame!
None of my acceptances or achievements in the college process would have been possible without Beth. She is truly the biggest gift and her positive energy and confidence carried me through the entire college process. I will never be able to pay her back for all her hard work, but I can promise her an unlimited amount of spinach dip dates!

I don’t even know where to start. Mrs. Lewis has been a piece of heaven on earth. She is such a bright light and an angel sent directly from God. Before meeting Mrs. Lewis, I dreaded every second of the college process. Little did I know that the dreadful college process would lead me to find someone who became my second mom and made such a lasting impact on my life. Mrs. Lewis takes every opportunity to get to know you and makes you feel comfortable, safe, and heard. She makes one of the most dreadful processes, an enjoyable one. She would spend countless hours working with me and devoting all that she had to every single session. Even through her jam-packed schedule, if I had a question or concern she would drop everything to help me. She always brings such a positive upbeat attitude and I could not have done this whole SAT and college process without her. She was always there to help support me in any way I needed it even if it was just advice or encouragement. I am forever grateful to Mrs. Lewis for everything she has done for me during this process and because of her countless hours of work and effortless support, I can look forward to the next four years at Providence College.

Mrs Lewis! Where do I even begin? From personal experience, Mrs. Lewis is one of the most compassionate, hardworking, kind, and loving people I have ever met. Growing up, as my brothers began the college application process and began studying for the ACT/ SAT, I knew they would leave the house for two hours to study with Mrs. Lewis. However, I never knew what she actually did - other than give them starbursts. Now I know what a significant help she was for all of us in the college application processes.
While Mrs. Lewis is like a second mother to me - where I know I can count on her for endless love, support, and advice - she is also one of the most hardworking people I know. When beginning to schedule meetings with her, it became extremely evident how much she cared about helping me and every other one of her students. When Mrs. Lewis had a full schedule jam-packed with meetings, and I needed help with something, Mrs. Lewis would always squeeze me in and help me. Despite moving from phone call to phone call meeting with different students, she always provides her full attention and effort.
When beginning to study for the SAT - what I most dreaded - Mrs. Lewis made the process enjoyable. We spent hours going over all of my mistakes, ensuring I would do the best I possibly could have.
Following the testing process, I began to apply to colleges. Although I knew nothing about the process, I knew I had Mrs. Lewis’s help to guide me. Her expertise in each college, knowing what to write and what not to write, was extremely impressive and critical to my success. In addition, she guided me through all of my essays/supplements, editing/perfecting my work for hours.
I owe the world to Mrs. Lewis for the countless hours she spent helping me, and I give her all the credit for helping me get into all of the colleges I did. With her help, I was accepted into the
Universities of Maryland, Delaware, Pitt, Fairfield, Clemson, and where I plan to attend the University of Georgia next year!

Mrs. Lewis is amazing! She is so kind and thoughtful and took the stress out of the college application process. We connected right away. She helped me express my interests and ideas in an eloquent and concise manner. She helped package me as a self-confident and intelligent applicant. She taught me how to “show” my story rather than “tell” it. Thank you so much, Mrs. Lewis! Because of your brilliance I can now look forward to four years at Columbia University! “Even though I was reluctant to improve my writing in seventh grade when I first met, my mentor and friend, Ms.Lewis, showed me a way to enjoy the process from the beginning. She taught me effectively by explaining it in a way that worked for seventh grade me. And as I got older, she learned and adapted to my personality, so it was effortless growing a bond that translates through the work we do. Her tutoring skill set along with her positive energy, and above all caring personality, is what helped me most as I improved as a writer, reader, test taker, student, and person.
Seela - Northwestern Class of 2026
Mrs. Lewis was undoubtedly a crucial aspect of my application process. I never would have imagined that right before my application season began, a close family member of mine would be diagnosed with cancer, flipping my world upside down. During a time at which I struggled to keep my motivation high, Mrs. Lewis supported me both emotionally and academically, pushing me to find my inner voice. She helped me show my true self to the admissions officers.
What truly sets Mrs. Lewis apart is how she deeply wants each of her students to succeed. I would not recommend anyone else to help other students in their application processes. Under her guidance, I improved as a writer, was accepted to a top 10 university and knew that the colleges that accepted me wanted me for me and not some fabricated, perfect version of myself. I am forever grateful for Mrs. Lewis’s endless support and kindness and know that the writing skills she helped me develop will serve me well for the rest of my life. "Like any other high schooler I was anything but excited to start preparing for the SAT/ACT, especially the verbal section. At first Mrs. Lewis was only a writing tutor to me; however, she saw something in me that I didn’t see in myself. Endless hours of grueling grammar practice and essay corrections coupled with too many starbursts and words of encouragement, Mrs. Lewis and I got to know each other well. She became a second mother to me and to this day I am forever grateful. I will never forget writing my Common App essay, struggling to find a word to describe my old Violin Teacher that was mentioned in the essay. Mrs. Lewis had suggested “sage” and it wasn’t until months later, settled in my dorm, feeling beyond excited about my choice to attend the University of Georgia, that I realized Mrs. Lewis became my sage."

"I not only walked away with acceptances to my top schools, but also with new abilities to approach writing in college. I know my essays were a holistic representation of who i am and were a reflection of my dedication and intellect" (UVA - 2016)

“Mrs. Lewis has an amazing ability to connect with her students on a deeper level. She found my voice and taught me how to be intriguing, humble, creative, and confident without arrogance.” Ravi, UNC Chapel Hill (full scholarship), (Far Hills, NJ) (2017).

Mrs. Lewis, where to begin! I could never imagine my life without meeting you! I do not know where I would be, both personally and professionally, without you. Though you have had so many students who required your time, you always made me feel like I was your #1.
As my parents are divorced and always fighting, I do not receive much attention. And, as my twin sister was the one who always looked like she was excelling in high school, I did not receive much praise. But, from the time I first met you until the last session that I had with you, you always made me feel like I had potential and that you believed in me. Not to mention, you were always the first one I texted when I heard good news because I knew that you would be the only one to genuinely congratulate me and praise me since you knew how hard I had worked and the obstacles that I had faced. I, no doubt, think of you as a beloved mother! But, most of all, you have forever changed the way I write. I now write with passion and honesty, and a little sarcasm!
You helped me through my ADHD! You helped me achieve an excellent score on the SAT! And most importantly, you got me into the University of Michigan, an amazing school that I am so thrilled to attend in the fall! I could not have done it without you! I love you Mrs. Lewis!

“Working with Mrs. Lewis was one of the best decisions I made regarding my college application process because she really took the stress right out of it. She kept me organized and always put me in the right direction. I also even looked forward to our meetings because of how comfortable I feel talking to her about anything which made it easier to open up and write about what was meaningful to me. There is just something about the one-on-one experience with Mrs. Lewis that has taught me so much about myself and my writing style that is very difficult to find in a normal English class at school.” Kenny, University of Georgia Honors College (Chester, NJ).
Elisabeth & Juliet
“Beth’s ability to inspire creativity is phenomenal! She is a talented English and writing tutor who really can help students “show” themselves. She has an uncanny ability to connect with her students, resulting in writing sessions filled with creative energy! She also does a great job in helping with all aspects of the college application. Our daughter(s) were accepted to most of the colleges to which they applied.” Elizabeth and Juliet’s mom, University of Texas, Austin (2015), and Miami University (2017) (Mendham, NJ)

“Mrs. Lewis not only helped me write my college essays, but she made me a much better writer along the way. Through exploring topics that matter and getting to know me personally, Mrs. Lewis helped me write amazing supplements that revealed my intent and my distinct personality. She also helped me improve my ACT verbal score by seven points, making complex grammar rule easily remembered and applicable. Through years of experience, she knows everything you need to succeed in ACT and or the SATs.” Chase, UNC Chapel Hill, (accepted to Notre Dame, UCLA, University of Texas, University of Florida, and University of Georgia), (Mendham, NJ) (2018).
Heather - Mendham Class of 2021
Even from the first session, Mrs. Lewis made me feel comfortable and heard. She helped me express my personality in a meaningful way in my college essays, while also sounding put-together, confident, and modest. I simply couldn’t have done it without her! Thank you so much, Mrs. Lewis! Thanks to you, I now call Hamilton College my second home.

“My three teenagers went to/are working with Beth for verbal tutoring in preparation for the SAT and ACT tests, and they improved their scores dramatically. One received a perfect score and the other two scored in the 98-99th percentile nationally in Reading and/or English. Additionally, Beth’s creative process for college essay development was instrumental in my daughters creating thoughtful and intriguing college essays. Beth’s services made the college application process so much easier! I highly recommend Beth for college test preparation as well as college essays.” Kayla, University of Michigan (2018), Sarah University of Florida (2018), and Matthew Kelley School of Business at University of Indiana (2019).

Beth is wonderful!! My daughters began working with her during middle school, when Beth helped them build strong writing skills and understand the basics of grammar -- things that were lacking in the school curriculum. They continued to work with her through high school, including ACT prep and the college application process. With Beth’s help, my girls achieved high AP English and ACT scores. Additionally, the college application process went so smoothly, and was actually fun for both girls as they loved working with Beth. Beth is the best tutor, mentor, counselor, college consultant, confidante and friend in one. She has been instrumental in my daughters’ achievements and successes, and we are so very thankful she has been such a central part of our lives! Mendham Family, Purdue (2017), University of Michigan Honors College (2019).

“Approaching the college process is a daunting task to say the least. My experience with Mrs. Lewis was that bridge that spanned from the irrational process to the excitement of moving on to the next journey. I emerged out of my time with Mrs. Lewis feeling as though I hadn’t just sold my soul to colleges; instead, I had given schools insight into my quirks, points of pride, and even humiliations that allowed them to fall in love with who I am and not some fabricated version of whom the want to see. Most of all I left my time with a fan, someone who wanted to see me succeed. From texts when college decisions came out, to just asking for updates and giving congratulations, in a time filled with disappointments and competitiveness even amongst close friends, I appreciated nothing more than Mrs. Lewis’s support.
I can reflect that Mrs. Lewis’s advice, expertise, and support led me to a school that I believe understands me and fits me better than any other.” Andrew, University of Virginia, accepted to University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Boston College, University of Richmond, Wake Forest, University of Michigan, Claremont McKenna, Northeastern, (Bernardsville, NJ) (2018).

Joe
“It is strangely ironic that, after spending months developing my writing with Mrs. Lewis, I find it difficult to describe my gratitude towards her and her services. The end of high school was a tumultuous time in my life and the stress of applying to colleges was largely the cause. While I was lucky that I knew I wanted to pursue aerospace engineering, I was also gifted with mediocre writing abilities. Mrs. Lewis helped me focus my writing and provided prompts with answers that really mattered.
Throughout the entire process, Mrs. Lewis never failed to encourage me. She forced me to approach my past with an objective mindset. Under her guidance, my writing improved, and I was accepted to one of the top five aerospace engineering schools in the world. Before my work as an undergraduate could even begin, Mrs. Lewis was there to support me. I am forever grateful for what she did to help me grow as a writer and a thinker.” Joe, 2018, Graduate, University of Illinois, (Barrington, IL).

“Words cannot describe how crucial Mrs. Lewis was to my application process. Without her help on my Common App essay, resume, and supplements, I would not be attending my dream school this fall. Not only did Mrs. Lewis encourage me to find my unique story and voice, but she also advised me on how to communicate with regional representatives to sell myself to the colleges in which I applied.” Kayla, University of Michigan, (Mendham, NJ) (2018)
